Let me explain how the profiles work: If you are familiar with the mid 1980s series of DC Comics called Who's Who or the Marvel Comics series Marvel Universe, then you will probably remember they had all the heroes and villains in alphabetical order. The "index" gave every little bit of information on characters and had outlined art in the background. What you'll see is basically the same thing. In case you're NOT familiar with it (which will not come as a shock to me because some people may not have read it before), I'll use my favorite character as an example:
The
Magician
Real Name: Ace
Cooper
Place of Residence:
Electro City, U.S.A.
Exact Location:
The Magic Express
Height: Approximately
6'0" Weight: About 190-200 lbs.
Eyes: Blue
Hair: Jet-black
with white streak around sides and back and white tuft on top of head
Age: More than
likely in his early 30s
Okay, you've got the general idea about who he is, where he lives, and all the physical details about the Magician. Now here comes the interesting part: The character biography to the best of my knowledge, and believe me, this is not an easy character to define.
Ace Cooper is a truly mysterious person. He grew up in an orphanage
with no knowledge of his parents and felt out of place because of a little
tuft of white hair on a head full of black hair. He thought he felt
alone that way, it was nothing compared to what happened to him when he
was only six years old. Playing with another boy one day, he suddenly
unleashed some power from within himself. Neither friend had no idea
what had happened, but Ace eventually found himself alone with no one he
could call a friend. Fortunately, a young girl named Mona Malone
found him to be more interesting.
Mona also grew up in the orphanage and started to like Ace. Growing
up, the two started meeting under a large oak tree and even put their initials
into the bark of the tree. Things for them were going very well,
until Ace discovered Mona to be the daughter of a notorious crime boss
named Jack Malone.
Although Ace cared for her very much, he assumed the only way to stay close
to Mona was to join her father's gang of crooks. Through the times,
he revealed to her about being able to practice a little magic. She
accepted him for who he was, and the two grew even closer. That changed
drastically within a short amount of time.
One night, Ace and a friend named Gus Moreland were supposed to rob a high-tech
company of money. Something, though, had gone terribly wrong.
Gus was trapped by one of the security measures, and Ace promised he would
come back for him. Ace had sought help from Jack Malone, but Jack
abandoned Gus and lied to Ace, claiming Gus was in hiding and would join
them later on.
In addition to that, Ace had an ally from the opposite side of the law,
Detective Derek Vega. Vega noticed something special about the young
boy and decided to let Ace be the key to taking down Jack Malone.
Incredibly, when Ace learned about Vega possibly being killed, he ran as
fast as he could to find his friend. The moment he found him in a
museum, he felt something very powerful within his soul, something he had
suppressed completely after he unleashed his power the first time.
Ace finally unleashed his full power, stopped a bomb explosion, and saved
Vega's life.
Vega convinced the young man he was gifted with a greater power than expected
and also asked him to help put an end to Jack Malone's crime days.
When Ace did so, he confronted Jack and ended up in a physical battle on
a small beam over a large fire. The beam broke, and Jack fell into
the flames. He luckily survived, but he was permanently disfigured
and debilitated as a result.
Ace's life started to fall apart because Mona loved her father, despite
his being the crime boss, and the man she loved almost killed him.
All seemed to be lost for Ace until a woman named Anna LaFrez took him
in to help him master his uncontrollable magical powers.
In due time, he realized the incredible force he had within himself was
something called the Magic Force, a great power used only
in times of extreme danger. After a few years, Ace was able to master
the power within and turned his life around, going from teenage criminal
to crimefighting magician.
Since then, Ace has become a true media star, acquiring enough wealth to
create his own home, a train known as the Magic Express; his special car,
the Magic Racer; his turbocycle, the Magic Bike; an incredible computer
system known as Angel; and has an apprentice named Cosmo, a former delinquent
himself. Ace also has his best friend Derek Vega, and Mona Malone
has returned to him, as she still cares about him with all her heart.
Whenever there is a dangerous situation, and Captain Friedrichs, Electro
City's Chief of Police, wants to play too closely by the book to risk lives,
Ace needs only to yell out this sentence: "Magic Force, reveal
the power within!" Then, villains in Electro City are really
in trouble because The Magician will cast a spell
against the forces of evil.
Now that you have seen the example
profile, reading the Gals' profiles will be very easy. A couple of
things to keep in mind:
1. I made up these characters
more than nine years ago, so the drawings are NOT the best in the world.
2. The profiles are much SHORTER
than this one.
3. I have NOT done a proper
story bringing them together.
4. For all I know, Ace Cooper
is still a big mystery to me. Some of this information was provided by
Gryph.
